This square flanged bearing unit complies with ISO standards. These include recessed bearings with extended inner rings and eccentric sleeve locking devices, which are mainly used for applications with fixed rotational directions. The bearings are mounted in a cast iron housing and can be bolted to the machine sidewall or frame. Ball bearing units can tolerate moderate initial misalignment, but axial displacement is generally not allowed.
